The main programme is in the Renault Clio Trophy France with the brand-new Clio RSR Rallye in the R2 category. Drivers will be announced shortly.

Racing Solutions will also rent R2 and R5 category cars to competitors all over Europe, while cars will also be available for historic rally enthusiasts, thanks to the “Classic” department.

The project has matured over several years to finally become a reality, offering unparalleled standards of customer service. For Philippe Dran-Padovani – the founder of Racing Solutions – this was just the start of a rallying dream. Then the Covid-19 pandemic arrived, which proved to be a baptism of fire. Among the multiple challenges that Racing Solutions faced, this was already the first.

The beginning of the new season is now expected to take place in September. And not just anywhere: the awe-inspiring Mont-Blanc Rally will welcome the opening round of the Clio Trophy – and Racing Solutions.

“I’m so delighted to finally be at the start of this project now,” said Philippe Dran-Padovani. “Our goal is to offer world-class service to our customers. But that’s nothing new for us: throughout our professional lives my partners and I have held these values every day for decades. We are aware of the size of the task ahead and we are not underestimating it. We’ve been working for 30 years in the yachting world, which requires attention to every tiny detail, as well as meticulous organisation. And it’s this that allows us to begin our new journey with the humility that’s needed to succeed, while relying on a solid bedrock of hard work and experience.”

Who is Philippe Dran-Padovani?

For a long time, Dran-Padovani has run a successful yachting business.

Nonetheless, from a very young age the Corsican had a passion for rallying, where he has co-driven on national and international events. He has navigated for several well-known French drivers, notably Patrick Bernardini, with results that speak for themselves (French champion in 1994 and 1995; winner of the Monte Carlo Rally in 1996).

At one point, Dran-Padovani took the plunge and entered a few rallies himself as a driver, in modern and historic cars alike. In total, he has no fewer than 150 starts behind him, both as a driver and co-driver.

“Passion and professionalism will be our motto at Racing Solutions Concept,” said Dran-Padovani. “With the love and dedication that my partners and I have for motorsport, we are fully confident of our know-how to lead this project, which means so much to all of us.”

Dran-Padovani takes responsibility for the day to day management of the team, while the organisational aspect of the logistics will be overseen by Thierry Caraglio.
